In this Committee the Iranian veteran artists exchange their experiences concerning these arts. Active in the fields of calligraphy, artistic crafts, miniature , and carpet weaving , this committee seeks the following objectives: - Writing down the criteria for the appreciation of traditional artists (ratified by the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution in 2001); - Drawing up the criteria for the selection of prominent traditional art professors and masters; - Seeking appropriate procedures for preserving and reviving traditional arts; - Examining the educational needs concerning traditional arts in various education centers in order to rectify the education system.
