According to the Public Relations office of the Academy of Arts, this quarterly journal is published under the editorship and directorship of Bahman Namvar-Motlagh, a fellow of the Academy of Arts. The journal’s objectives include "introducing contemporary and innovative approaches in the field of art studies and criticism" and "developing understanding of lesser-known approaches in art criticism," among others. The Pazhuhesh-Nameh of the Academy of Arts holds scientific-research accreditation from the four academies of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
